A lot of people think labels can be bad things, but there are ways in which you can claim labels and use them to create new stories and reclaim your power. This episode covers a lot of territory from labels, the questions you ask when someone labels you (Is it true? What power do they gain or what do they seek to do?) and how to turn those negative labels into positive ones for yourself. We finish by talking about people claiming labels are a fad and help you navigate that space.

I’d love to hear from you. Reach out and contact me. Let me know how you fit in with my work and what you’d like to chat about. I’m happy to bring in new voices and perspectives, but just so you’re aware, I won’t promote anyone who is selling quick fixes, trying to exploit the communities I’m a part of, or who outright dismisses the work I’m doing. I’m a firm believer we have to stop putting silos around things and understand the glorious interplay between such things as our mental health, our well-being, living authentic and embodied, as well as some of the harms caused by a psychology practice that has for too long been centered in a cis, white, neurotypical, heterosexual frame.
