Welcome to Feathermane Soul. Please pardon our cyberdust as we put the finishing touches on the website. I wanted to take a few moments and let you know a bit about what I’m hoping to do here and share my work with you. In short, I am passionate about body theology, which is creating our own systems of meaning through our lived experiences, our intersectional identities, and our perception and senses. Some of this work has been done in feminist theology as well as monotheistic religions. I’m a religious studies grad student, and a special interest is how various cultures and individuals choose to make meaning out of chaos. Religion is simply one way to do this. But don’t worry, I’m not “selling” a specific belief system or trying to convert anyone. Instead, my work is designed to help you create re-story-ation with your own body, your own meaning, and help you find and become your authentic self.
What contributes to your embodied life is different from mine. While I work at the intersection of queerness (I’m genderqueer/transmasculine), neurodivergent (I’m multiply neurodivergent), and disability (I’m disabled under most models of disability, including the medical and social models.), the way these things impact my life may not be the way they impact yours. Instead of trying to become someone else’s idea of who you should be, my goal is to help you become yourself by connecting with yourself, others, and our world.
I have many tools in my toolbox to help you do this, but I focus on yoga, meditation, energy work, and spirituality, which includes rituals. Those last two especially are very broad terms, which transcend any limitations that we might put on them. Can you tell I like diving deep?
As part of my quest for connection, I’ll also be sharing with you horse wisdom from my sacred herd of horses. The chickens (and especially the roosters) will probably be heard in the background of my videos, and they, along with the nature of the homestead, also have wisdom to share.
I look forward to sharing my work with you. If you would like to learn more or stay in touch, just fill out the form below to receive blog posts in your inbox.
