Thunder

Matzo is Jewish kosher food. It’s a crisp, flat, unleavened bread, made of flour and water. Matzo is the main symbolic food consumed during the week of Passover. This bread the Jews ate while fleeing Egypt.

Paint Gelding

The cornerstone of the sacred herd, Thunder has lived on the homestead his entire life. He came into my care in January 2013, and was meant to be a gift for my mother. At the time of his purchase he was a stallion, and after he fathered Firefly, he became a gelding. Thunder and my mother had a special relationship, with her often visiting him in the pasture to offer treats and affection. When she required a wheel chair for mobility, I would take her outside to visit him when she was able.

His greatest gift is his sense of humor and his huge heart.
